931589 - Civil Engineer

We are working with our client, an award winning design consultancy, to secure the services of a Civil Engineer on a permanent basis, based in the North of Scotland

Duties include

  • Working technically challenging projects, providing high quality solutions for clients
  • Working as part of a team on marine civil engineering projects
  • Preparing designs, calculations, specifications and reports
  • Carrying out feasibility assessments, site inspections and survey and site supervision
  • Largely based in the Design office but some site work will be involved
  • Masters Degree with Merit or above in Civil Engineering
  • Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers
  • Proven track record in Civil Engineering, preferably on Marine or Bridge projects
  • A detailed knowledge of structural design and its basic principles
  • A good grasp of geotechnical design and its basic principles
  • An understanding of the use of AutoCAD
  • Competence in using finite element analysis packages
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Relocation package maybe available

This is a permanent position

Salary is negotiable
