Orion Group is seeking a Channel Metadata Analyst who plays a key role within our pharmaceutical client’s Digital Lab, supporting the day-to-day management, oversight, and optimization of marketing metadata and digital operational programs.

This position ensures the smooth execution of digital marketing processes across multiple brands, contributing to data accuracy, operational excellence, and process efficiency.

This role also supports Email Rental programs, Preference Center management, and dashboard/data operations that drive analytics and insights across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily metadata operations across digital campaigns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Manage dashboards and operational reporting through Smartsheet, Workfront, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand teams, agencies, and vendors to maintain metadata integrity and streamline workflows.
  • Utilize Salesforce (CPMT) for metadata tagging and data governance activities.
  • Execute data querying, analysis, and process automation leveraging SQL (preferably Snowflake).
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation (playbooks, SOPs, RACI matrices, etc.).
  • Train and onboard internal stakeholders and agency partners on workflow processes and best practices.
  • Gather requirements for new features or system enhancements and assist in UAT/testing.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and continuous improvement within digital operations.
  • Investigate and resolve operational or metadata-related issues, collaborating with internal IT and analytics partners.
  • Oversee key aspects of Email Rental and Preference Center workflows, ensuring alignment with compliance and user-experience standards.
  • Stay informed on digital marketing trends and operational best practices to drive innovation within the Digital Lab.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in digital marketing operations, data management, or marketing technology.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet, Workfront, Power BI, and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake) with exposure to Marketo or other marketing automation tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical details into business context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
