My Global leading manufacturing company is looking for a 3rd Party Carrier Manager who will report to Director of Regional Logistics GBI and Nordics. You will be based at their outsourced warehouse office in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

As the Carrier Manager you will;

* Focus on delivering operational excellence in Logistics, achieving supply chain and departmental targets through performance management and continuous improvement.
* Responsible for developing and delivering cost effective market leading and continually evolving useful Logistic services across UK & Nordic markets with particular focus on outbound final mile delivery.

* Use detailed root cause analysis to agree resolution action with suppliers.
* Prepare and drive monthly operational meetings with LSPs, ensuring follow up and ownership of tasks.
* Monitoring and assisting with transport related customer complaints within the Nordic Region, taking ownership for claims process.
* Creating, monitoring and acting on financial forecasts with support from Financial Controller.
* Participate in transport related projects and tasks to support supply chain improvements.
* Ensuring standard operating procedures are maintained and adhered to relating to GBI transport suppliers.
* Perform proactive data trend analysis to identify key areas for improvement, and propose / implement actions to address trends.
* Support the creation and delivery of Logistics Operational plan, working in partnership with key stakeholders within GBI Sales organisation to gain an in-depth understanding of what matters to the internal and external customer with careful consideration of capacity constraints within and outside the department.
* Supporting Contract Logistics Commercial Team with the sourcing and engagement of key outbound transport suppliers within the Nordic region, supporting:
- Contract renewals
- Rate negotiations
- Onboarding of new suppliers,
- Creation of Service level agreements
- Business development reviews
* Keep abreast of new developments in the field of logistics and supply chain, through membership of professional bodies, attending seminars, forums, networking and reading management journals, evaluating opportunities.
