OrionGroup are looking for a Capability Development Associate for our multinational pharmaceutical client based in the Buckinghamshire area on an initial 12-month contract.

Overall purpose of the role
To support, coordinate and execute capability development initiatives across the EMEA region with specific focus on the established Academies of the business

Main responsibilities of the role

* Responsible for the execution of the Academy courses from delivery preparation, participation in Academy courses (when relevant) to evaluation and follow-up
* Coordinate and support Academy yearly activities, e.g. training needs assessment, budget creation and tracking, agreement with vendors and contracting and course plan creation
* Together with Academy Lead(s), work on continuously improving the effectiveness and quality of the Academies
* Participate in the development of new Academy courses and programmes as well as drive the continuous improvement of existing ones
* Support and coordinate programmes outside the Academies as well as other ongoing projects (e.g. SMART learning, effective learning pathways).

Desired experience and skillset of the successful candidate

* Genuinely interested in the development of workforce capabilities and in the establishment of a strong learning culture
* Hands-on and motivated by solving day-to-day tasks while at the same time able to think in a long-term and strategic perspective
* Curious about discovering new ideas that, at the same time, are aligned to the needs of the business
* Good project management skills coupled with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders
* Self-starter, capable of working effectively, independently, according to tight deadlines and in an environment where much of the interaction is virtual
* As many of the capability development initiatives are functional specific (e.g. market access, medical affairs, sales), the ability to quickly understand a new subject matter is crucial
* This role is targeted someone in the beginning of their career with the wish to professionally develop themselves within learning & development
* Many different backgrounds can lead to strong learning and development professionals. From an educational perspective, psychology, HR, administration (business or public) can be good starting points. So can experience from real-world capability development projects.
