CAD Draftsperson required in York

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of permanent way design and detailing
  • Knowledge and working experience of Microstation
  • Knowledge and working experience of using Projectwise
  • Circa 5 years experience of rail infrastructure design/drafting

Carry out other drafting-associated activities related to multi-disciplinary Rail projects as directed by the Lead Engineer/Principal Engineer.

Good working capability with Microstation and associated file-types for final drawing production

Familiarity with working to project specific CAD standards/processes and working within a CAD control environment such as ProjectWise.

Undertake production of CAD drawings in accordance with relevant drawing standards Support to Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers in the production of drawings at all levels.

Ability to self-manage, prioritize, keep good records/update logs and maintain an orderly approach to file keeping.

Working to tight deadlines and ability to work unaided; taking ownership of work packages and managing production of these at a personal level Manage and store drawings and other project deliverables in accordance with Quality and BIM standards and other specific project requirements
