SUMMARY
Walker's Shortbread Ltd are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Procurement team.
THE PERSON
You will have 2-3 years' experience in a similar role although not necessarily within the same industry. Strong commercial, technical and problem-solving skills are required. You need to have the ability to influence and build relationships internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are key and you will be required to work as part of an established team.
THE POSITION
In this operational role, the Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement function in ensuring the delivery of purchase orders and acting as a first point-of-contact for any supplier issues. You will be required to support continuous process improvement and ensure that internal stakeholders are kept up-to-speed of any supply chain challenges.
