About the role:

Reporting directly to the GM, the Business Operations Officer will have a strong focus on the operational aspects of the business and will be responsible for managing functions that enable the company's business operations and office affairs in the UAE. The role requires a "can-do" attitude, getting your hands dirty and getting involved in all aspects of supporting our UAE project to support 44.01's ambitious and innovative carbon removal operations.

What you'll do:

  • Support the GM in setting up the UAE corporate office and supporting the company's project in the UAE
  • Be responsible for all regulatory requirements for operating in the UAE (Commercial Registration, VAT, Tax, Environmental Permits etc)
  • Engage with local banks to setup and manage company accounts.
  • Oversee accounts management, document controlling, and procurement
  • Manage end of year audits and preparation for AGMs
  • Organise subsidiary financial statements
  • Act as first line of support for UAE based employees and contractors related to administrative affairs.
  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers to support the company's operations,
  • Ensure the company's compliance with policies, laws, and regulations

  • Skilled at problem-solving, critical thinking and multi-tasking.
  • Able to work autonomously and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritise competing priorities
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Comfortable with domestic and international travel
