A well-established business services organisation based in Teddington is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their busy team

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced and pressurised environment. Ambitious and well driven would be a must for this role.

You will be contacting potential clients by telephone and email, arranging scheduled meetings to introduce our services and presenting the benefits to all prospects.

As a Business Development Manager you will have experience in developing new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income.

High energy and resilience is essential for this role. Possess drive, motivation and an acute attention to detail, ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop new business relationships
  • Generate and negotiate new income for the company to set annual targets, which will increase year on year.
  • Generate own sales leads and follow up on warm leads from sales team
  • Prepared to travel within the UK, presenting the service to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process, lead generation, credentials pitch, proposing questions, offering solutions, negotiating, closing and account management.
  • You are expected to self-manage and successfully integrate into a growing sales team.
  • Have a professional manner and polished
  • Managing and maintaining a sales pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is kept current.
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation
  • Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
  • You will effectively interact with other departments including the payroll and registration managers when handing over details of new business.
  • Keeping abreast of issues affecting the Construction Industry Scheme and collecting competitor intelligence.
