What is the Role?

Working as the Business Development Manager for Energy-as-a-Service will be an exciting role with a genuine opportunity to position yourself as a leader in this emerging market. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing client and wider stakeholder relationships and leading bid and development teams to secure contracts and partnerships with public and private sector organisations across the UK. The role will involve bringing together areas of different expertise and working with internal stakeholders, experts and external partners to ensure the proposition is developed in line with our customers' needs and our strategy.

What do I need?

To be considered for this unique opportunity, you will have proven experience in securing business in the Energy Management sector with extensive business development experience within a UK aggregator and a track record of closed deals. Therefore, a strong understanding of EU and UK policy frameworks as they apply to heat, energy, carbon and construction is required.

As an experienced people manager, you will have demonstrable experience of managing high Performing teams where you will lead bid and project teams. Proposition development - experience building bespoke propositions across a complex range of energy technology and solutions.

You will have the skills to calculate commercial opportunity (and risk) associated to allow you to plan resource across a complex project to fully understand potential cost of project.

Ideally you will understand how Smart Cities platforms are built and operate; have experience of the energy trading markets; knowledge of a range of commercial structures as they apply to distributed energy and skilled in bringing together and managing a large, complex proposition that sits across multiple areas of expertise
