Payroll Business Analyst role

Our client is embarking on a payroll transformation of their EMEA Payrolls (x24 countries, x6500 EEs), We require an experienced Business Analyst who will be responsible for partnering with our project team, EMEA payroll team, local stakeholders and the payroll vendor to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Reporting to the Project Manager, their responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, manage and perform pre-project preparations such as current-process mapping and data discovery on the current payroll platform.
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand payroll and benefits business processes, their system impacts and desired future state.
  • Develop current state/as is payroll process documentation in collaboration with our Payroll Transition Lead.
  • Communicate functional and business process requirements to our implementation partner and the CSL project team, acting as payroll advocate during design and implementation.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on EMEA payroll and business processes
  • Identify, escalate and resolve project issues in collaboration with the CSL PM and payroll vendor teams.
  • Coordinate input and actions with regard to other internal partners including Finance, Benefits and Payroll. Maintain these relationships during the project to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the Project Change Manager to identify change impacts and ensure these are addressed in the Change & Comms Plan.
  • Support the delivery of the testing strategy and develop test scenarios that will ensure thorough testing.
  • Coordinate key testing stages with our payroll vendor including unit testing, parallel testing, payslip integration (to Workday) testing and support the testing of knowledge transfer documentation and payroll SOPs.
  • Coordinate testing of Workday-to-Payroll Vendor integration including the development and transacting of test scenarios.
  • Support the project manager to deliver testing results for respective projects, to also identify risks to test results and timeliness.
  • Track and manage the status of defects through to successful closure.
  • The test analyst will be responsible for the development & maintenance of test assets e.g. plans, scripts, acceptance criteria, and test data.

Required Experience

  • Essential - experience of implementing multi country payroll projects
  • Essential - relevant experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Essential - relevant experience in a payroll delivery role (payroll specialist)
  • Essential - experience using Workday as a HRIS
  • Desired - experience working with TMF as a payroll vendor
