Our client is a Sales and Marketing company in Fife who currently have a requirement for a Business Analyst to be based within their Finance team but working closely with other areas of the business including the Marketing Department.

The key responsibilities include:

  • The Business Analyst will play a key role in generating rich insight for use by the Business through analysis of a variety of internally and externally sourced data including sales, geodemographic and macro-economic inputs.
  • Produce a range of reports designed to inform both marketing strategy and local sales activity, so must be able to process data effectively and interrogate statistics to produce actionable insights.
  • Using Microsoft excel and other platforms, the Business Analyst will work to automate reporting as much as possible to free time for more advanced reporting.
  • Will work alongside the product manager to identify trends and help inform changes to our product program in the UK and Ireland.
  • Presenting the findings of analysis to a range of stakeholders across the business will also from a key aspect of this role.

Key Tasks

  • Selection of relevant data sources (internal and external) depending on analysis objective
  • Accessing relevant data, analysing key trends, combining findings from multiple sources, drawing conclusions and making business recommendations. Subject matter will be either in the form of regularly produced reports, in response to specific requests, or carried out proactively to support business goals.

You should have a University qualification in a relevant discipline e.g statistics, accountancy, economics and 2 -3 years' experience in a data analysis and reporting role. You will also have experience of working with feedback from stakeholders to enhance the quality of data reporting.
