Orion Group are looking for an Associate Clinical Research Scientist for a 12 month contract for a leading Multi National Company based in Leeds, United Kingdom.

Job Function Summary


This position will have responsibility for assisting Clinical Research Leaders in the management of the clinical portfolio including clinical study management and deliverable associated with new product development.

Key Job Activities:

* Assist Research Leaders with clinical research activities and portfolio management.
* Complete required templates and documents, and maintain records related to assigned projects.
* Create and maintain files and spreadsheets to track activities. Communicate progress towards planned timelines.
* Work with Franchise Clinical Operations, Biostatistics and Data Management, and other functions to assist and/or lead with study development, study management and progress.
* Work with cross-functional new product development teams to meet clinical deliverables
* Assist in the development of materials used by Clinical Operations for study execution (Investigator Brochures, training materials, etc.).
* Maintain and file study related documentation.
* Will manage components of studies or clinical projects with supervision.
* Will assist other Operating Company clinical staff with assigned sub-project tasks.

Job Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification in a biological/clinical/medical subject
Minimum of 3 years in clinical research OR an industry R&D role
Experienced in collating and analyzing data from literature and other sources
Strong communication skills
Writing skills (needs to be able to write a protocol)
Ability to work independently

Desirable experience/skills

Medically trained
Completing literature reviews
Experience working in infection control/treatment field
Practiced in collaborating and influencing partners in other functions
Project management skills

Additional Skill Requirements

Demonstrated competencies in the following areas are required:
o Project management, organizational skills
o Presentation skills
o Self-motivated
o Written and oral communication skills
o Ability to travel up to 10%
