Our Client

Our client, a highly respected professional services company is currently looking to add an Assistant Management Accountant to their growing team. The main purpose of the role will be to assist the Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant in the preparation of financial and management accountant information.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by Financial Controller
* Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for review by Financial Controller
* Financial ledger reconciliations and analysis
* Preparation of Accruals and review of Prepayments
* Preparation of pricing and profitability analysis for review by Financial Controller
* Maintenance of system used for pricing and profitability work
* Assisting Senior Management Accountant with reviews of AR reports and balances
* Preparing and reviewing various monthly reports at month end for internal/external clients
* Working with Senior Management Accountant to prepare VAT and EC Sales returns
* Working with Senior Management Accountant to develop financial reporting
* Maintenance and reporting of our Business Analysis system
* Responding to internal Extend emails, to ensure system is updated correctly
* Adhoc projects/reporting as agreed with Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant
* Providing support to Heads of Departments/Partners, including the provision of financial information as
and when required
* Dealing with duties of other Financial Reporting team members in their absence
* Be aware of company information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised
access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.
* Other tasks as appropriate

Skills & Experience

Part CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant (AAT may be considered depending on experience)
* Minimum of 2 years experience of working within a similar role
* Computer literate - particularly in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office

* Previous experience in a professional services environment is preferable
* Can demonstrate experience of working successfully in a challenging environment
* An ability to build relationships at all levels
* Able to work to deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure, maintaining accuracy
* Adopts a flexible and proactive approach to work duties
