Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Drilling & Completion Supervisor, based Offshore on a 3 / 3 rotation.

Responsibilities:
* Through on the job training and coaching, acquire good knowledge of drilling techniques for HPHT drilling with MPD on Jack ups.
* Analyse all the operations performed on the rig. Look for and propose ways of optimisation. Special focus on troublesome operations - provide a systematic concise debriefing (ppt format).
* Look back at lessons learnt and ensure they are always implemented for subsequent operations and wells. Ensure all steps in Drilling Programs are carefully implemented. Report identified gaps to onshore team ASAP.
* Update on a daily basis the well "tableau de bord", the well T-Desk file, the lessons learnt register. Check cost control follow up sheet on a daily basis.
* Provide End of Phase Reports for each well section to onshore drilling engineer on due time (i.e. 15 days max. after the end of the section).
* Provide rig Daily Statement to onshore supt on a daily basis (by email).
* Record and compare performance and efficiency of each occurrence of all repetitive operations on the rig (trips, BHA M/U, BOP tests, TDS maintenance, etc.). Provide a quarterly synthesis.
* Provide comparison of the actual vs planned costs on a detailed level when required.
* Review drilling engineering calculations, review DDIs, assist in preparation and execution of specialist operations.
* Prepare T-Desk file of the well and ensure up-to-date to provide drilling simulations on a daily basis (ECD follow-up, tripping speed, T&D, etc.). Ensure drilling data are stored in a proper way (in T-Desk or excel format).
* Monitor hole cleaning efficiency (excel sheet with T-Desk simulations or T-Desk directly) using drilling values (T&D & ECD) vs simulated values. Use the tool to make real-time decision on additional circulations / wiper trips.
* Gain exposure to company Company Rules application and background.
* In addition to technical training, develop your soft skills including leadership, teamwork, decision making and safety management

Experience & Qualifications:
* The job holder will hold a BSc of MSc or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Offshore or Petroleum) with experience in well engineering.
* Organisational skills to prioritise and manage a heavy workload in a rapidly changing environment
* Good computer skills, especially in Drilling Engineering softwares (T-DESK, Wellview ...)
* Job Holder will be committed to developing skills and experience in technical discipline i.e. well completion design, well architecture calculation etc.
