Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Accountant based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Completion of monthly management accounts and associated submissions (monthly, half yearly and annual analysis schedules) for the various entities with the EMEA region
Completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations within prescribed timelines, ensuring balance sheet risks and opportunities are highlighted and addressed as appropriate
Providing commentary on the financial performance of the business to the Country Managers
Maintenance of accounting records in accordance with local regulatory requirements
Working with External Auditors, Shared Service Centre and other stakeholders to ensure statutory filings (e.g. annual accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, etc.) are filed in accordance with local regulatory requirements
Review of supplier invoices to ensure appropriate coding, authorisation and prompt payment.
Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts
Assisting management with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, etc.
Working with Shared Services to ensure payroll is accurately processed, paid and accounted for.
The provision of ad hoc financial support to the Country Manager
Any other ad hoc duties that may be required.

Experience/Skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work through reporting deliverables and deadlines for multiple entities
Ability to deal with and contribute to the transformational changes being implemented in the business, be it IT or workflow in nature.
Good data manipulation skills in Excel: lookups, sumifs, pivot tables
Preferably, experience in accounting for entities from the EMEA region, including multicurrency ledgers
Preferably, Navision (NAV15 or later) experience
Travel occasionally required
