Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Asset Cost Controller, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Facilitate the annual asset budgeting process to ensure timely completion and agreement with key stakeholders.
Preparation of the monthly asset cost control reports including commitments, expenditures & forecast.
Participation into preparation of the profit and loss analysis.
Prepare budgets and forecasts ensuring that appropriate levels of costs are included. Challenges cost estimates where appropriate.
Analyse actual costs and forecast expenditure as directed and provide details on variances between budget and previous forecast.
Prepare the monthly cash flow report
Contact and reviews regularly with budget holder (Asset Manager) and budget spenders, comparing forecast expenditure against budget.
Highlight on time areas of concern for cost over-run or under spends; recommend actions or solutions.
Liaise with finance, procurement and contracts to ensure correct and accurate processing, registration and accounting of invoices, commitments and expenditures.
Process and analyses historical floating production cost data

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant education
Significant experience in a similar position
Technical knowledge in Oil and Gas, FPSO preferred
Excellent command of English, both verbally as well as in writing
Willingness to travel on short-term overseas business trips
