As the Regional Area Director for the Southern Central, West and Wales, you will report into the Operations Director. You will drive the Area's P&L performance, developing the Area's commercial and infrastructure strategy and to deliver accelerated sales growth both through acquisitions and organic growth, whilst maintaining effective operating cost control and high levels of customer service. You will build a high performance, safety first culture, driving employee engagement.

My client is looking for;

  • In depth Logistics/ Transportation experience
  • Proven leadership and line management experience
  • Background in either sales or operations
  • Financial planning and budget management, with Full P&L accountability
  • Direct experience at delivering revenues through an SME sales channel and the ability to support key accounts in the corporate account channel
  • Strong general manager covering all aspects including Operations, People, Commercial
  • Elements of production and logistics in career to date. Logistics/supply chain based (transport more than warehousing)
  • Highly commercial with demonstrable experience of driving business growth - revenues and profit
  • Developing and executing business strategy
  • Effective use of KPIs to measure and drive high performance, and efficiencies
  • Energetic, highly motivated and committed with excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strategic and systemic thinker with excellent analytical skills
  • Exceptional commercial awareness
  • Highly attuned influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels
  • Change management experience, including leading a team of senior managers
  • A desire to succeed and overcome challenges
  • Highly professional and maintains high quality standards
  • Assured, knowledgeable, highly motivated, engaging, co-operative and confident in front of customers and key stakeholders
