Role description:

As Analyst you will be working in a small but influential team supporting high profile work within a public sector of critical importance. The role provides an exciting opportunity for those wishing to work in a flexible, dynamic, fast paced environment. The team is responsible for coordinating and assuring delivery of the changes.

The analytical capability will also enable understanding of risks over a longer timeframe, which will support more strategic assessments of issues so that all departments can support the delivery of a function.

Key areas of delivery:

  • Deliver comprehensive analysis
  • Support the strategic, policy and operational decision making
  • Support existing tactical structures and decision making that drive operations
  • Use available data tools to drive analysis and reporting
  • Be accountable to Senior Management

Key responsibilities:

The department will operate as a team who will have distinct areas of focus on delivering regular, high quality analysis.

The team will be supported by a network of departmental liaison officers representing the key departments.

The reporting lead of the department will:

  • Report on the current status as well as any issues
  • Hold responsibility for the daily view to lead the analysis teams and direct activity
  • Sign off reports which show impact across locations and UK as a whole
  • Validate reports with various departments
  • Prioritise incidents at by risk/ severity
  • Access the workflow of the entire team

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive analysis and reporting lead experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise information as part of crisis management to support decision making at the highest level
  • Capability to lead and work as part of a team, at pace in crisis management scenario
  • Collaboration and partnering across grades and across work groups
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
  • Working flexibly and under pressure
  • SC/CTC clearance not essential however preferred

This is a contract role with expected duration until 31st March 2021.

The role operates via a shift pattern which is currently being finalised however, there are a morning shift (7:00 - 15:00) and also a late shift (14:00 - 23:00) to be expected.

Shift allowance and overtime will be provided.
