We have a current opportunity for a Air Quality Technician on a contract basis. The position will be based in Anchorage. For further information about this position please apply.

Description:

  • Collects and manages Air Quality compliance data. Ensures required data is collected, reviewed for accuracy, and input into data management systems.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews on data and reports to ensure they are complete, accurate, and representative.
  • Generates and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual Air Quality compliance reports as assigned .
  • Reports must be on time and accurate.
  • Works with field personnel, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and software engineers to incorporate changes from permits into updates to databases, software, and procedures.
  • Assists with development of best management, operations, and maintenance procedures/practices .
  • Works with facility personnel to prepare facilities for agency inspections and audits, and accompanies agency personnel on the inspections and audits, as requested.
  • Coordinates with subject matter experts to provide solutions for technical questions related to any aspect of Air Quality compliance.
  • Assists in maintaining the company's environmental records .
  • Supports company's vision and mission .

  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings .
  • Conducts ad-hoc reports and projects as needed (this may be covered by other duties below) .


Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college or 2 years professional experience
  • Ability to identify programmatic and systematic deficiencies, optimize systems/processes, and maximize efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with Environmental compliance management and oversight, including but not limited to the establishment of operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent writing and other communication skills .
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills. Ability to identify deficiencies and collect data in a manner that maintains good working relationships between office and field personnel.
  • Ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities. Ability to accurately solve problems
  • Exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
