The Role

  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing procurement strategy that will support growth and margin expansion in the Aftermarket business globally.
  • Work with Global Category Mangers and the Sourcing Hubs to develop a preferred supplier base that supports the Aftermarket business.
  • Ensure that Aftermarket purchasing processes facilitate a standardised approach to supplier negotiation.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives that will enhance operational performance across the business.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree in supply chain, business administration, finance, engineering or related discipline
  • Experience of managing across multiple locations, understanding the constraints and working culture within them
  • Experience within a project driven Engineer-To-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment
  • Aftermarket supply chain / procurement professional
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-functional teams
  • Strategic focus with the ability to analyse, formulate and implement strategic procurement strategies to significantly reduce cost for a global business
  • Good team player
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Pragmatic, no-nonsense approach
  • Sets personal deliverables and works to high standards
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, procedures and theory
  • Accurately captures, records and communicates information
  • Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems
  • Knowledge of general business processes with experience in managing projects globally
  • Good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Advanced competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project & Power Point
