Reporting into the Divisional Manager, based at Feltham, near Heathrow. My client, who is a 4PL service provider is looking to hire for a Activity Manager, who will have full responsibility for operational activity for Air Operations in line with the budgets, costing and business opportunities for this area. You will take responsibility for the team to deliver these services providing appropriate performance and Service levels to our clients external and internal customers.

Responsibility;

  • To be the first point of contact for all external bodies in respect to our Air Services
  • To manage escalated issues of import & export services for the Air services.
  • To ensure full legal compliance of the movement of goods in and out of relevant countries.
  • To ensure goods are appropriately tracked through the team and customers made aware of issues in respect to delays.
  • To liaise with relevant agents and suppliers.
  • To ensure service level agreements are maintained and customer relations are maintained.
  • To develop sales opportunities in conjunction the with sales teams.
  • To get best value from our suppliers negotiating better deals where able.
  • To support the PDI and pay review process.
  • To develop team to ensure fully able to deliver all areas of service.
  • To manage any performance and conduct issues.
  • To coach, develop and mentor the team.
  • Provide financial & performance data for relevant areas of responsibility.

Skills + Qualifications;

  • 3 years' experience in management role
  • Ideally degree related qualification or recognised management qualification
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Excellent Budgetary, forecasting and costing skills
  • Is a role model for my client and sets the standards
  • Behaves as they would expect others to behave

  • Grows the teams and encourages development
