We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant with a strong background in high volume accounts payable within a large corporate organisation, preferably an Operator or Tier 1 Service Company. Experience of SAP/SUN systems would be preferred. Immediate start 12 month PAYE contract based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
Scan and capture invoices and resolve exceptions on timely basis
Check integrity of records in all company systems
Create service entry and manage workflow queues as required
Provide month end information where required
Maintain vendor and bank master data via standard governance processes
Reconcile and analyse vendor accounts
Prepare monthly accounting and reporting in adherence to accounting policies, best practice and recommended industry accounting practice
Maintain delegation of authority documents as required
Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor in the implementation of process change
Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
Experience & Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills
Experience of SAP / Sun Systems preferred
Strong MS Office skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation
Focus on service delivery to business and functions
Flexible and responsive to stakeholder requirements and changing environment
Ability to deliver high quality work by deadlines and work effectively under time pressure
Ability to work on own initiative, proactively drive change, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion
