A British luxury retail brand is seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant to support the growth of the business.

The company is keen to strengthen the finance team and this is a great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to gain well-rounded, in-depth, experience in an exciting industry and working environment.

Experience of using XERO is essential


  • Maintenance of the general ledger and all bookings into the system.
  • Weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing weekly sales reports.
  • Preparing daily cash flow.
  • Liaising with suppliers, clients and stakeholders.
  • Dealing with all supplier queries, providing supplier remittances when requested.
  • Managing the supplier chain and preparing fortnightly payment runs.
  • Manage the filing system.
  • Manage customer refunds.
  • Handle all staff expense claims ensuring approvals are in place.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns/EC Sales & P11D forms.
  • Help with the month end balance sheet reconciliations/month end process.
  • Inter-company Invoices upload.
  • Ad hoc tasks when requested.


  • Good analytical skills and strong IT skills - specifically MS Excel
  • Must have experience of Xero
  • Excellent organisation, time management, attention to detail and a great team attitude
  • Confident, with good communication and written skills
  • Retail preferred although not essential

The company has excellent transport links and/or parking for local drivers
