An experienced Accounts Assistant is required to work in a fast paced environment for a leading manufacturing/engineering SME company based in Slough. The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspects of transactional finance:

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Customer statements
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journals
  • Assist with payroll
  • Payment runs

The company is currently moving to a new integrated ERP system, set to be fully automated in he coming weeks. The transition to this system will require manual invoice processing in the interim therefore you must have demonstrable experience of manual processing, however this will only be for a short period.

The role is very busy as the business is going from strength to strength therefore an exciting time to be part of a growing, rapidly expanding international group. The invoices are high volume therefore experience in a high volume environment would be essential as is the ability to deal with some complex accounts. The Accounts Assistant will be involved in various adhoc finance projects as directed by the Financial Controller including supporting the month and year end process.

The Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced/pressurised environment
  • Self motivated, flexible and open minded
  • Good IT skills and possess competent MS Excel.
