Orion Group announces Olympic Snowsport Sponsor

 Scotland’s leading recruitment agency, Orion Group, has added a new ambassador to their portfolio of sporting stars.

Lesley McKenna, one of the UK’s top snowboarders, has signed with Orion in her quest for glory in next year’s 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler Canada. The deal will see her carry the Orion Group logo on helmet and board.

Paul Savage, Orion Group Managing Director said, “Our business is a global brand and Lesley along with our other sports ambassadors offer another window of opportunity for Orion Group to be represented and promoted on an international scale. Our contractors are located all over the world and we hope they and many others will follow Lesley’s achievements throughout 2010.”

Paul continued, “Lesley is a seasoned Olympian and we look forward to seeing her achieve her hopes of a medal next year in Canada.”

Despite a difficult search for sponsorship in a testing climate, Lesley is delighted to be working alongside Orion Group. McKenna commented, “Working alongside such a global business is something I could never have dreamed of 6 months ago. I had read about their phenomenal achievements over the past few years however now being associated with and representing them is a real honour.”

Lesley added “Coming from the North of Scotland it’s fantastic to be supported by a company with its roots firmly in the Highlands.”

Today’s sponsor announcement comes on the back of a successful year for one of Orion’s other ambassadors, European Tour Golfer, Oliver Wilson, who yesterday finished the season 7^th in the Race to Dubai.
