81681 - QC Site Engineer

They are currently recruiting for the position of QA Site Engineer, based in Port Harcourt.
Job Description
* Oversee the site Construction, (fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) of the site works for the N.O.P.L.
* Support the Project Head of Q.C. in the delivery of Quality and integrity management for the project in Nigeria
* Review and comment on all EPCSS Contractors Inspection and test procedures
* Oversee EPCSS contractors during all Construction, (fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning) activities in Nigeria
* Co-ordinate and allocate company Inspectors and specialists to specific tasks during the Construction, fabrication, Installation and pre-commissioning activities
* Review and comment on contents of contractors QA/QC and Inspection procedures
* Ensure that all equipment/plant arriving at site is in 'as shipped condition' and in good working order
* Review and comment on contractors Inspection and Test Plans ITP(s)
* Attend or nominate attendance of contractors qualification tests (WPQT, WPS, NDT etc)
* Supervise and co-ordinate company Hold/Monitor/Witness inspection activities
* Review Quality Record Books
* Review and comment on all Quality and Inspection Records submitted by contractor
* Assist the Project Senior Head of Q.C. in the Preparation of company final dossier for hand over to the Operations Group
* Attend project meetings as required
* Liaise with other disciplines for QC and Inspection matters on site(s)
* Evaluate EPCSS Contractors QC team performance on site(s) and report same to Project Head of QC
* Provide QC and Inspection input as required
* Liaise with Contractors Inspectors at site to promote quality awareness
* Promote a culture of Safety first and Environmental Awareness
Skills & Experience
* Significant requirement of and proven experience as a Team leader specifically in QC Management
* Extensive experience as a either QC Manager or Senior QC Engineer in Oil & Gas pipeline construction
* Qualifications in Q.A., welding inspection, coating, painting, UT, MPI and DP will be considered a plus
* Extensive experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction or upgrade operations
* Extensive experience of pipeline construction, welding, hydrostatic testing and pre- commissioning processes required
* Good knowledge of Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment required
* IRCA Lead Auditor qualification or IRCA Lead Auditor training desirable
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
