Platform Design Manager - 63739

Our Client has a vacancy for a Platform Design Manager, based in London.  This is a contract position.

As Platform Design Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:

Represent the Project within the company as well as towards external service providers. Manage both internal and external resources according to the project scope and schedule to ensure timely and cost effective project delivery.

Ensure delivery of a credible and robust decision making process to deliver a successful Platform Concept and FEED.

Interface with the Operational Support team to ensure all of the relevant parameters and operational integrity information are fully addressed in ensuring the optimal functionality is devised for entry to the concept phase of the project.

Ensure the Project Delivery System is applied systematically and effectively in evolving the design definition.

Implement and record lessons learned to the organisation for future projects.

Qualifications/Experience

The successful candidate should:- Have a proven track record of involvement in projects at a similar phase of maturity and of a similar size and complexity. As a minimum be Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, skilled in the practice of Topside Project Engineering, with proven experience and practical skills. Knowledge of facilities design and analysis is essential incorporating detailed knowledge of platform facilities. For this particular project main applicable areas of expertise will be Platform Design Engineering preferably incorporating extensive knowledge of similar hydrocarbon production systems Experience in the evaluation of tenders is required. Knowledge and experience of various contracting strategies and commercial structures would be preferred.

The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with fabrication and construction practices.

The salary for this role is negotiable.
