Corporate and Social Responsibility

At the Orion Group and to our clients around the world, corporate social responsibility plays an important role. This is the way in which we operate our main business of 'work' - managing the employment needs of individuals and business - this provides us with the goals and opportunities to make a real difference in the development and achievement of individuals and families.

To achieve these goals and by delivering our role fairly and ethically, Orion has clear policies and procedures and assists employees with a code of conduct that meets the highest standards.

Orion Group is guided by the various International Labour Organisations (ILO) standards as minimum governing its employment practices and industrial relations. This standard included genuine respect for employees’ rights to freedom of association, labour organisation, non-discrimination in employment and a safe and healthy working environment provided for all employees.

The company does not discriminate on the basis gender, racial, social or ethnic origin, culture, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, citizenship or political opinion.

At the Orion Group we value all of our employees in terms of their social, intellectual, economic and personal contribution to the company in every sector of its operation. We also ensure that each employee is treated with dignity and respect.

Working for a better life

At the Orion Group we work closely with the local community and charitable organisations - ‘giving something back’ is part of Orion’s thinking.

Throughout the year the Group is involved in events and fundraising for a number of organisations. One in particular is Highland Hospice. Orion has supported them for a number of years and has assisted in fundraising initiatives across the UK and Europe.

The aim is to inspire more people to support the great work of this charity and others alike, something which has been passed through our colleagues at Orion Group as they are often involved in their own initiatives in helping out in our community at home and abroad.
